A suite for solo guitar, written for Jordan Dodson. I made it with a method I came to call bloom: a slow recorded original (six seconds per note), with new notes layered over each cycle until each chord opens outward. On guitar the result is fast and mercurial in most movements — and contemplative in the third, where the slow blooming character of the original shows through.

The Bloom Suite has since been adapted for marimba, for trio, for orchestra. The Suite for Guitar is the first.
